The new writing schedule is going well, I think. I feel more productive at least, and I’m certainly becoming more of a morning person (although I may have already been on that track courtesy of my niece and fur-nephews). Getting up earlier is harder for me, but right now, with the sun coming out earlier in the morning as well, it feels more like I’m stealing back time rather than losing sleep. Here’s hoping I continue to feel that way as time goes on!

The character POV that I’m trying to beef up currently is slow going, but I am making progress with it, and I can already see where it’s balancing out the first third of the book better, so hopefully that will continue. I may even have the first act “finished” by the end of the week if I continue at my current rate, so I’m cautiously optimistic that maybe by the end of the summer I’ll be ready for a round of beta reading.
