Over the past two weeks, my family has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of my nephew, who should be born any time now (maybe even by tomorrow morning??? We’ll see!), so things have been a little hectic.

I’ve still gotten some writing in during the wait, and I think I’ve finally got the theme of my story boiled down to a single clear statement, which is helpful in ensuring every scene is relevant and focused in the right direction, and in making sure the characters’ ending resonates with where they started.

I’m feeling good about where I’m at and I’m eager to keep going, but now it’s time to watch my phone and wait a little more because I’m too excited to think straight!
