Odds & Ends 2/10-2/23

February has certainly not been business as usual. We celebrated my niece’s birthday about two weeks ago, then it was my turn with a girls’ afternoon out, and finally we surprised my dad with a quick visit (and ice cream cake) last weekend, and I got back to town just in time for one normal day of work before a snowstorm hit!

Fortunately, my brother and sister-in-law live pretty close to where I work, so I was able to crash on their couch for a couple days rather than try to plow my tiny car for miles through 6+ inches of blowing snow in subzero temperatures. My niece was thrilled with this arrangement, and I know a lot of Parry Gripp songs now (If you’re not familiar, look it up on YouTube. Little kids love silly nonsense songs). I was also introduced to “Tractor Ted” on Amazon thanks to my nephew. It’s fun to watch how excited he gets just to see a cow on the screen.

Suffice to say, not much writing was done the last couple of weeks (I did get some in today!), but I have mulled over some promising ideas, and I definitely feel recharged.
