The past few weeks have been a taste of what I think my ideal writing weather might be. It’s cool enough when I wake up that it feels good to curl up on the couch in a sweatshirt with a hot vanilla chai as I type, but gets warm enough in the afternoon that I can go stretch in the sunshine when I need a break. If only I could stay home every day and do just that! I took full advantage of the few days at home I got, though, and I did make it through a series of scenes that have been a bit of a slog, and I’m *hoping* this may mean I’m on the downhill slope of this story.
My niece came over last weekend for a sleepover and we had a big time! Lots of walks, pizza, coloring, and I even managed to pull off a fun craft—we made & decorated our own “fire-breathing” dragons. All it took was a couple toilet paper rolls, q-tips, cotton balls, ribbons, crayons, & nail polish.

They may not be the prettiest or most traditional looking dragons, but overall I think the project was a success. We had a good time making them at least!
