I’m still letting my project marinate before I pick it back up with fresh eyes, but in the meantime, I’ve been making what feels like quality edits to an older project. Reading it aloud has proven useful, as I’ve discovered I can be accidentally alliterative more often than I realize, and it’s helped me pinpoint some spots where my word choice didn’t fully align with my intended tone.

In my down time, I also managed to finally catch Captain America: Brave New World. It’s a solid effort for the MCU & sets a brisk pace, but for a two-hour movie, it feels like a lot of plot and action at the cost of some character & thematic development that might have been more interesting to explore.

This next week my family and I are on vacation together! We’re hoping to get lots of swimming in, if the weather allows. I’m just excited to relax and get plenty of uninterrupted time with everyone.
