Odds & Ends 11/17-11/30

The last few weeks have gone by quickly with several fun events. First, I got to attend a book signing for a friend from high school, which was really cool, then I got to see some of the extended family for a cousin’s birthday party, which was also fun. My mom and I got to see Wicked: For Good last weekend, and while I do think the first movie is the superior of the pair, part two did not disappoint. I appreciated how they expanded on the musical’s second act, threading a little more story between the major plot points.

Finally, my family celebrated Thanksgiving this week, and I got to spend all day Thursday relaxing with my parents, then this weekend we gathered again, this time joined by my brother and his family. My niece was excited to have us conduct a blind taste test of various off-brand versions of Dr. Pepper, and we learned that most of them taste very similar, except for Dr. Pop which, in my opinion, tastes like cherry. Not everyone made that connection, but we all agreed it did not taste like Dr. Pepper.
