Odds & Ends 10/30-11/05

It’s that not so lovely time of year when we turn the clocks back one hour as Daylight Savings Time ends. Sure, we get an extra hour of sleep, but it also signals that the daylight hours are, in fact, getting shorter, which I find terribly depressing.

I tried to look on the bright side and make the most of the day, however. Technically up an hour earlier than usual, that means I also got in an extra hour of writing. If I go to sleep when my body thinks it’s midnight tonight, I’ll actually be going to sleep at eleven, so maybe I can turn that into a better bedtime habit. At least for a day or two.

In other news this week:

  • It is cold outside and I am not a fan.
  • Went to a Dawson Hollow concert on Halloween & I’m looking forward to the release of their first album. If you like a little bit folksier sound, I highly recommend checking them out.
  • Stranger Things Season 2 is an improvement on Season 1. Not that I didn’t enjoy Season 1, but Season 2 has a little quicker pace and way less exposition to sift through.
  • Shout out to everyone participating in NaNoWriMo this year! I wish you luck in all your word count goals!
