I think it’s safe to say my life has entered full summer mode at this point. I had a great Memorial Day weekend at my parents as I helped entertain my niece and nephew. We grilled, enjoyed the local splash pad, and even attempted to make our own model magic, which resulted in the tip of one my fingernails being blue-green for a whole week, no matter how much I scrubbed. The onset of summer has also brought t-ball into our lives, which seems to be a bigger success than fall soccer was.
I’ve received an ARC of a friend’s new book that I am eagerly reading right now, and once that’s finished, it will be time to figure out what books I want to order to enjoy on vacation next month. I’ve got a Barnes & Noble gift card burning a hole in my pocket!
As far as writing goes, it is happening, but it’s happening in fits and starts. Still, I count each of those fits as a win, as eventually I’ll have enough of them to add up to the whole second book, it just may be a longer process than I’d prefer.
