Well, the productivity over the past two weeks has come in spurts, but at least it’s there. I’ve made some headway in my editing, flying through the first few chapters, and I’m currently wading through a section where I suspect I’m going to have to kill one of my darlings, but I’m still trying to solve which exact darling requires the axe in this instance and just how badly they need it, so that has slowed me down a bit. I do not relish the thought of tugging on & unraveling the wrong thread.
In other news, there has been so much rain lately it has really stirred up some nonsense for my mold allergies, so I’m ready for a little more summer and a little less spring to round out the month of May. Tonight, I’ll be tuning in for the finale of Ridley Road on PBS, which is an interesting look at a slice of history I hadn’t heard of before, focusing on the ’62 group and their struggle against the growing boldness of Neo-Nazis in London in the 1960s. It is based on a book (same name), so I may have to check that out eventually…
